Taylor Jessen, the Firesign archivist, on "Over the Edge":

Don Joyce continues his massive riff on the way radio is NOT done on
his show "Over the Edge" on KFPA-FM Berkeley.

Expect to hear lots of Firesign Theatre, Bob and Ray, Casey Kasem
outtakes and more surreal cultural jamming.

Part four includes a never-before-heard interview with David Ossman
telling the story of how he got fired from NPR for commissioning a
piece by John Cage for "The Sunday Show." (David told me over the
phone and I sent a CD to Don - you can hear it beginning at
approximately the 30-minute mark.)

The address of KPFA's music server has changed since Brian Westley
kindly tracked it down on August 26, so here are new addresses for all
the episodes broadcast so far:

And just a reminder for all of you out there who will be in London
on Monday -- David, Peter, and Phil (but not Phil) will be performing
on October 3 at The Comedy Store at 8 PM, which is being recorded
for BBC Radio 4. The likely timeframe for the broadcast (which
should be available on the web) is December.
