LIVE FROM THE ISLANDS presents the final live broadcast of the 2003 season
this Saturday afternoon with two hours of music, comedy and conversation 
from the Edgecliff restaurant in Langley on Whidbey Island.  The program 
can be heard weekly on KSER 90.7 FM and on the internet, www.kser.org from
Noon until 2pm PST.  Hosts are the husband-and-wife team of David Ossman 
and Judith Walcutt, joined by travel journalist Sue Frause and Jim 
"Conductor of Fun" Freeman.  Regular "Island Time" treats include Miss 
Sylvia's All-Weather Sheriff's Report, Sue's "Rock-On Tour" of the week, 
Judith's Weather Haiku, and Ossman's Found Poem of the Week.  Judith's 
Bookshelf holds the recent Island arrivals and Ossman's Audiola Calendar 
drops the needle on this week's audio birthday rarity.

December 13 will be the final live broadcast from the Edgecliff for 2003.
Among the talents scheduled is Michael Nutt, whose virtuoso violin has been
heard in classical concerts, the Djangofest and backing the dancing at 
Fezziwig's "Christmas Carol" party, will lead a performance of Haydn's 
comical "Toy Symphony."  Composer-songwriter Tina Lear presents a "cabaret
set" of songs drawn from her three CDs and her three musicals that have 
been in production this year.  Director Lew Carlino makes a return visit to
talk screenplays, Oscars and star-turns. Peggy Taylor and Charlie Murphy 
join the table to talk about their work with The Power of Hope, a 
self-discovery program for young people.  Diane Kendy describes the saving
of Whidbey's Saratoga Woods and the power of Islanders to preserve their 
local environment.

The final programs of the 2003 LIVE FROM THE ISLANDS season will be on 
Saturday, December 20 and Saturday, December 27 from Noon until 2:00 pm and
will present concerts recorded at the Whidbey Island Center for the Arts 
during the July 2003 Choochokam Festival of the Arts.  Performers include 
the Watercarver's Guild, a family acoustic ensemble ensemble from Montana ,
and Tickle Tune Typhoon, with a variety show for younger listeners.

LIVE FROM THE ISLANDS will return live to KSER and the Edgecliff on 
Saturday, February 7.  During January 2004, David Ossman will bring back 
his popular eclectic music and comedy "record show" OSSMAN'S AUDIOLA to 
entertain KSER listeners on Saturdays, Noon to 2 pm.  The AUDIOLA will 
continue to present music by Whidbey and other Island artists and to sample
the unusual and limited edition CDs of music, comedy and audio theatre that
make up the "Audiola Archive."  OSSMAN'S AUDIOLA was one of KSER's original
programs, broadcast from 1991 to 1993.  David Ossman has been picking 
through dusty old media to find music and weird stuff to play on the radio
since 1959.
