Subject: Another story for Phil After VietNam, I spent almost 3 years (70-72) in the Panama Canal Zone, most of that time in the 8th Special Forces Group. A number of us had pretty much memorized the albums that were out (and as they appeared). One of our favorite sports (or spurts) was to take cues from the "lifers" making what they thought were innocent statements as entry points into FT enactments bouncing around several of us, replete with the best we could do for sound effects. The irony and satire was frequently lost on the audience (NPR exec is nothing new), but we usually had a war-whooping good time. Civilization, hoooo!
