In my long-ago halcyon college days of the early '70s I remember wandering through a party house in a warm golden glow of fellowship, romance and Spaņada and encountering a room where people were listening to a comedy album. I remember hearing a guy watch TV shows such as a game show- "Catch It and You Keep It!" and commercials- "chicken fingers surrounded by a thin thin thin sixteen millimeter shell" and "Friends- are you troubled by the steady drip, drip, drip of gonorreah? Try Peter Rooter!" and so on. I laughed so hard I hurt myself. When I was still hurting the next day the doc at the campus medical center told me I had "pulled intercostal muscles. Take these and don't breathe too deep". Later I tried to find out what album it was, who brought it, etc., unsuccessfully, and have wondered ever since. At a reunion lately a friend told me he thought it was "The Firesign Theatre". Can anyone tell me if this is so, and which album? If so I will probably just have to get everything these guys have ever done just to be sure I don't miss out on any such gems of wisdom. Thanks for having the patience to read all this, whoever stuck with me this far. Wistfully yours, Michael.

The "Thin, thin, thin, 16mm shell" is from Don't Crush That Dwarf, Hand Me The Pliers:

Peter Rooter is Cheech & Chong.
Catch It and You Keep It is National Lampoon Radio Hour.
