The program was called "doctor" on the PDP, explaining the whole Doctor Memory thing. I ALMOST succeeded in tracing down the PDP source code for the Doctor program. The whole Eliza thing is interesting. Did you know that its creator decided it was dangerous and tried to get people not to use it? |
