Subject: Re: The Goon Show! As far as i know, the only direct contact with any Goons was a brief series of meetings between Peter Bergman and Spike Milligan in London in the late Sixties of the Sadly Departed Twentieth Century when Spike was doing "Oblomov" on stage. I think they discussed a Spike project that never came to pass. Other than that, I don't think Phil ever met Sellars or anything. Lord knows if they knew about FST. Milligan, to me, is the Great God of audio comedy. But of course, when I hear the sound of money, well, that is good news ... It drives away the Bloodnock rocknrollcall blues. |
