There are some very fierce Pro-FST folk at NPR who made the ALL THINGS CONSIDERED stuff happen. They are to be congratulated for putting on air some of the finest radio heard in a long, long time. And putting it on repeatedly.

These folk (the NPRers) stuck their necks out -- and they are the ones who got the slew of emails from those who either didn't get it, or for some unknown reason believe that humor doesn't belong on NPR.

Trust me. It would have been very easy for them to fold their tents -- but they did not.

They are to be heralded.

They are the reasons that we'll be hearing FST on NPR throughout 2003 -- and hopefully beyond.

I've met some of them. I've seen the gleam in their eyes when they speak of FST.

Keep the gleam alive. Keep the gleam alive.
