Subject: Re: Thanksgiving axed by NPR NPR cares nothing about whether the piece is or is not comprehensible. NPR knew that the piece would generate A LOT of negative feedback from listeners. NPR is and always has been a toady for the liberal left and they especially pander to the whiny and vindictive segments of the minority groups. NPR knew that those individuals would attack this piece and would try to use it to bolster their self-serving and paranoid claims that everyone is out to get them. If NPR were truly trying to provide a different way of thinking to the American public, then they would have run the piece and afterward would have used it as a springboard for additional pieces examining the role of humor, parody, and the ability to (1) laugh at yourself, and (2) think about the underlying messages. Interesting, isn't it, how everyone EXPECTS white people to respond this way, but NEVER expects minorities to respond this way. Why is that, if everyone is supposed to be the same? |
