||||||||| Catherwood announces, "The time is 4:32 AM - I now declare Thursday's chat log for February 19, 2026 officially open!"... and then, he retires back to the vestibule...
||||||||| Catherwood accompanies Tweeny into the room, accepts a $3 bill as a gratuity, grumbles something about 8:00 PM, then departs.

||||||||| "Hey Tweeny!" ... Tweeny turns, and sees Bradshaw approching with the handcuffs, and is dragged away, screaming "it's only 8:00 PM, I don't have to go yet!"...
||||||||| Catherwood strides in with a trumpet, plays a fanfare, and proclaims "Nine PM on Thursday, February 19, 2026 - I now declare alt.comedy.firesgn-thtre's chat officially open!" -- then he looks around at the empty room, looks at his watch, and mumbles "...am I early?"
||||||||| Catherwood trudges in at 8:00 PM, dragging Deputy Dang by the hair and asks "Can anyone vouch for this yo-yo?"
||||||||| Catherwood sneaks into the room, and intones "Announcing 'Beet', also known as 'Nancy' -- the time is 8:00 PM" -- then he slowly retires back into the vestibule...
Deputy Dang: Howdy, Beet!
Beet: Hi, Folks!
||||||||| Cease tiptoes in around 8:00 PM, trying to avoid Catherwood because of last week's "unpleasant incident."
Deputy Dang: Howdy, Cease!
Beet: Hi, Deputy, cease.
Cease: Hi all
Cease: Did you notice Proc was just in Vagas, where I've spent a lot of time?
Beet: Hello, Virtual Tweeny.
Cease: Tweeny isn;t here, I don't think
Beet: Thus vir.tual
Cease: I'm studying Istanbul restaurants and museums now
Beet: Cool.
Cease: they were't vrfy old then. they are now
Cease: ossman is 89. that's old
Cease: i want to go to turkey before i get too old to do anything
Cease: Bertgman sure got a lot out of that country
Cease: of course, that was 60 years ago
Cease: remember when young people never wanted to get old
||||||||| With a theatrical clearing of his throat, Catherwood intones: "8:00 PM and late as usual, it's Mutt, just back from Elmertown."
Cease: my generation
Cease: the mutt man cometh
Mutt: Im wet an im cold, but thank god I ain’t old
Beet: Hi, Mutt.
Mutt: Evening all you jazzy cats
Cease: I'm Cat and I like jazz. Does that count?
Mutt: Twice or double!
Cease: Not sure if it will actually happen, but am seriouslyu contemplating trip to Istanbul this fall.
Mutt: Good old Ben
Mutt: That’s a city I would love to see
Cease: I'm pretty sure when I go through custams at the airport, i''l think i'm back at the begiing ot Electrician
Mutt: Just don’t forget the elevator boy
Cease: there's a building there called Hagia Sophia that I realy want to see
Mutt: All the blasted and defaced icons and murals are still there I believe
Cease: unlike othr buildings i waned to look at from the outside, like the gehry buildings, hagia sophia is sometihng i need to expereicne from from the inside.
Cease: also serious restaurans there i want to check out.
Cease: my healh is poor at best. can i actually fly from van to istanbul, do stuff, and then fly home without damaging my self?
Mutt: I hope you feel up to it and are able to go.
Cease: me too
Mutt: If you can swing it money-wise maybe try pampering yourself on this one. Cut down on the foot travel and take taxis and such?
Cease: yes, that's my plan. did you go there, beet?
Beet: I think you will have a great time.
Cease: apparently ubsr is problematic thre. i'll see. very hilly city so need as much wheeled transportation as i can gt
Cease: that's why i'm giong there, beet.
Beet: Never been to Turkey.
Mutt: Maybe a driver service?
Cease: as an almost 75 year old man, i want to do as much as i can
Cease: i hear the subwa is very good and i look forward to it.
Cease: i cut the fuck out of that last sentence
Cease: i like subways, even though i was pickpocketed in the madred subway in my last trip
Mutt: I got so into this lp when it was released that I basically missed a semester of law school.
Cease: i have a story about nagasaki.
Cease: when i lived in japan, i went to a nearby bar run by a guy from nagasaki
Cease: we became friends. he was 9 when the bomb went off.
Cease: the city is very hilly so much of the city survived
Cease: he said it was beautiful, when he observed it from this hilltop perch
Cease: one doesn't normally meet somewhere who called the a-bomb beaituful, as it was blwoing up his city
Beet: 14 is now the datesble age for politicians.
Beet: dateable
Cease: is that due to the epsein files?
Beet: Apparently.
Mutt: That stuff is going to smolder for years
Beet: I think so.
Cease: no doubt
Mutt: Fall out everywhere else but US, so far
Cease: the last time a royal was in jail was in the 17th century
Beet: The former Prince is in jail.
Cease: and not the guy from Minneapolis
Mutt: I have no sympathy for anyone shown to have acted wrongly in this matter
Cease: that's a lot of people, mutt
Mutt: Yeah. I know.
Beet: Enfluence leads to blackmail.
Cease: kompromat
Mutt: Exaclty. He was a blackmailer and more
Cease: did you see them live?
Mutt: Who?
Cease: firesign
Mutt: Twice for me
Cease: wew now listen to them live here
Cease: i saw them in 69 but not again til 94
Cease: you, beet?
Mutt: 1981 and 1993
Cease: they didnt' do a lot live
Beet: No
Cease: it's not important. i think they're better as an audio act
Mutt: I would agree. It was fun to see them but the recordings are better
Cease: yep
Mutt: A big reason they never translated to tv or film
Cease: they all loved acting. i was never good at it.
Mutt: Their live acting skills are fine. But their audio acting skills are genius. They couldn’t compete with that .
Cease: true
Mutt: Four on stage - five on recordings
Cease: but is there compettioin?
Cease: nope
Cease: no one, at least in english, has done anything like theri work, of their quality, that i'm aware of
Mutt: There is a certain magic that they created in audio. Live performance is different. Their live could not compete with their tecordings
Cease: true
Mutt: On stage they are four talented guys. On record that mysterious fifth guy shows up and it’s magic
Cease: yep
Cease: well spotted, mutt
Cease: did you see btruce snyder's visualizatio of this?
Cease: i tihkn i posted t a link to it liast week
Mutt: No not yet
Mutt: This is fun
Cease: https://youtu.be/fQiczISciSY
||||||||| Catherwood interjects: "What about my pickle?"
||||||||| Catherwood enters the room, strikes a gong, and bellows "THE TIME IN NEW YORK IS 1 O'CLOCK", then silently exits.
Mutt: That link has been taken down
Cease: they produced a vast amount of wonderful stuff
Cease: steerio: music for cows
Mutt: Lol
Beet: It's Curt!
Mutt: Lord Tween speaks
Cease: The voice of Tween.
Cease: tihs goes well with what we just heard
Beet: Well, gotta split. This was fun as always. Enjoyed hanging with you guys. Have a great weekend. See you next time. G'Nite.
Cease: by beet
Mutt: Take care Beet!
Cease: there are few of us, at best
Mutt: Deputy is almost greyed out
Mutt: But in general I believe you are correct in your assessment
Mutt: Not sure who is listening to them anymore
Cease: it would be nice if there were more of us
Mutt: Well I can say that, tracking stuff on ebay as i do, somebody’s buyinh their stuff
Mutt: The classic lps still sell regularly
Cease: i'm glad they still get a few pennies
Mutt: I would imagine they receive very little these days.
Cease: i hope procc makes enough for his frequent travels
Cease: this is a very noisy show
Cease: nice edit there
||||||||| Catherwood steals into the room, and snorts derisively "Announcing 'llanwydd', also known as 'Nancy' -- the time is 8:00 PM" -- then he slowly retires back into the anteroom...
llanwydd: good evening
||||||||| Catherwood interjects: "We own the idea of NOW."
Cease: hy llsn
Cease: great to see you here
Cease: how's yourf health?
llanwydd: not too bad. thanks for asking
Cease: i like being old in that i'v survived this long. smsxing
llanwydd: lol
Cease: i never expected to grow old
Cease: i'm delighted
Cease: mis-goat me
Cease: fly by night producers
Cease: its heavy
Cease: how's it going, llan?
Cease: thanks, virtual tween
Deputy Dang: Thanks Cat! Goodnight all!
Cease: somethihg else next week
||||||||| At 8:00 PM, Deputy Dang vanishes mysteriously -- just as Nino the Mind Boggler predicted!
||||||||| 8:00 PM -- Cease left for parts unknown.   (Entry from Nick Danger's "Idiots I Have Been Paid To Follow").
||||||||| Catherwood enters the room, strikes a gong, and bellows "THE TIME IN NEW YORK IS 2 O'CLOCK", then silently exits.
||||||||| It's 2:00 AM, and that means it's time to play BEAT THE REAPER! And here's how our contestants did:
||||||||| llanwydd - dead from the fiddlers
||||||||| Better luck next time! And now, back to our chatroom, which is already in progress...
||||||||| At 8:00 PM, Mutt dashes out the door saying "Hey, mister ice-cream man, I've got a nickel, wait for meeeee..."
||||||||| It's 2:15 AM, and that means it's time to play BEAT THE REAPER! And here's how our contestants did:
||||||||| Beet - dead from intense demonic possession
||||||||| Better luck next time! And now, back to our chatroom, which is already in progress...
||||||||| Catherwood enters, and announces to all and sundry "It's 4:31 AM, time to change the log file and clean out unused rooms; please exit the chat room for a minute or two. Thank you for your patience."
