||||||||| Catherwood strides in with a trumpet, plays a fanfare, and proclaims "Nine PM on Thursday, October 03, 2024 - I now declare alt.comedy.firesgn-thtre's chat officially open!" -- then he looks around at the empty room, looks at his watch, and mumbles "...am I early?"
||||||||| Catherwood walks up and announces "Presenting 'Tweeny', just granted probation at 8:00 PM", then leaves hurriedly.
||||||||| Catherwood stumbles in at 8:00 PM, dragging Deputy Dang by one leg and asks "Can anyone vouch for this web surfer?"
Deputy Dang: Howdy, Tweeny!
Tweeny: Howdy Deputy
||||||||| Catherwood enters with llanwydd close behind, mutters something about disrupting his 8:00 PM tree-stunting plans, and dashes off to the sitting room.
||||||||| Catherwood enters the room, strikes a gong, and bellows "THE TIME IN NEW YORK IS 11 O'CLOCK", then silently exits.
llanwydd: hi
Deputy Dang: Howdy llanwydd!
||||||||| A time machine materializes at 8:00 PM and Beet steps out, carrying a grape from ancient Greece.
Beet: Evening, folks.
Deputy Dang: Howdy Beet!
Beet: Hi, Deputy, llan,Tweeny.
llanwydd: 9/7/17? I think I was fleeing the bolsheviks back then.
Tweeny: Hey llan, Beet
Deputy Dang: Wait... what was that date???
Deputy Dang: Oh, it does say it's a replay of 9/7/17.
Tweeny: I hear from Johan in North Carolina (which has been devistated by hurrican Helene) and he says that although he's without power, he's got plenty of water and 2 weeks worth of food.
Tweeny: *heard
Beet: This is an interesting approach.

Beet: I have some friends near Boone, NC and thankfully they were spared.
llanwydd: I was spared the worst of helene

llanwydd: shouldnt ve ten minutes then Ill join the fun again.

Tweeny: I just got off work so I'm fixin' up some supper and will be in and out of the chat

Deputy Dang: More sugar!

Beet: You mean, of course, sd?
Deputy Dang: he mrans sd, yes
llanwydd: anybody know if cat is showing up tonight?
Deputy Dang: I think Tweent said he's away this week, but I might be hallucinating.

Deputy Dang: Thanks Tweeny and Cat! I heard a lot of stuff I haven't heard before. Thank you again!
||||||||| At 8:00 PM, Deputy Dang runs out the door saying "Hey, mister ice-cream man, I've got a nickel, wait for meeeee..."
||||||||| Catherwood enters the room, strikes a gong, and bellows "THE TIME IN NEW YORK IS 1 O'CLOCK", then silently exits.
||||||||| llanwydd departs at 8:00 PM, singing "Toad away, toad away; toad away, toad away! Where do you go when you're toad away?"
