NancyKat: I just did 5 loads of laundry...I think i'll just stay in this chair for the duration!...LOL...
NancyKat: Now comes...THE FOLDENING!
DJTweeny: that's a lot of washin'
NancyKat: how about you?
DJTweeny: you must be all squeaky clean-like now
NancyKat: only %25 of it was mine!
NancyKat: I is, I is...
DJTweeny: Hurricane Harvey about to hit the Texas coast
NancyKat: skqueeeek.
NancyKat: Ohh, stay saf!
DJTweeny: I'm way inland
NancyKat: I have feinds in University city-hope they'll be ok.
DJTweeny: but we're going to get a lot of rain Saturday
||||||||| Catherwood stumbles in and intones "Presenting 'Jamie WWOZ', just granted probation at 8:41 PM", then leaves hurriedly.
NancyKat: Hi, Jamie.
DJTweeny: Hi Jamie, welcome to our little chat :)
DJTweeny: What town, Nancy?
Jamie WWOZ: Thanks DJTweeny. First time live. Feeling like the lurker that Lt. Bradshaw made his career arresting.
NancyKat: What town what? Where my feinds live? University City, that's all i know. Nottoo familiar with Texas...been to San Antonio...it was...neat, but hot...
NancyKat: Jamie-is ok, sometimes I lurk 'cause I have to stop my 8year old Antichrist from setting the place on fire...
DJTweeny: It's in Bexar County, which is the San Antonio area
DJTweeny: lolol
DJTweeny: @ 8 year-old Antichrist ;)
Jamie WWOZ: Your 8 year old sounds like a future Firehead. Getting a bit of a jump on his peers.
DJTweeny: heheh
||||||||| EWeston enters at 8:46 PM as Catherwood takes their hat and goat and runs off to the Chapeau Manger.
DJTweeny: Hey EW
EWeston: I can see! Hi Tweeny NancyKat and Jamie.
||||||||| Bill Sprawl pokes his head in through the window and shouts "MARCHING TO SHIBBOLETH! Click to order!"
NancyKat: Tweeny-ahh, ok so He didn't move far-I was in San Ant. to visit him back when we dated.
NancyKat: Jamie-You wouldn't beloieve half of it-i put her in Girl Scouts so she can focus that energy...i think it's only made her more creative-and I'M the one who's been selling the cookies!
NancyKat: EW!
DJTweeny: Jamie, Nino (click on the link at the bottom of the screen) says you're from New Orleans. Are you getting any action from Hurricane Harvey?
EWeston: Steady madam steady madam
DJTweeny: Let me know next time you're doing a cookie sale, NancyKat. I love the mint ones
NancyKat: Tweeny-My faves are the PB and chocolate ones...they have Smores ones now as well...VERY good and addictive as all hell.
EWeston: Heard the Girl Scouts were sending the Boy Scouts a nasty letter for poaching on their turf
DJTweeny: Boy Scout cookies?
NancyKat: Sales usually start Jan. 1st and continue till mid-April-the cookies that were sold door to door get delivered mid Feb. and then we do booths.
EWeston: They are trying to get more girl boyscouts
EWeston: The Girl Scouts are being head hunted
DJTweeny: sounds complicated
NancyKat: EW/ Tweeny-I heard of an activity fair where the girl Scouts were promised a booth but got booted from the fair because the Boy Scouts had a HUGE booth/ display.
EWeston: And don't talk to us about the latrines
NancyKat: I hink it was supposed to be a kind of invention/ science/ innovation thing.
DJTweeny: that sux, Nancy
NancyKat: but also with an eye towards recruitment.
EWeston: Sexism comes in all kinds of forms and places, unfortunately
Jamie WWOZ: "Action from Hurricane Harvey" brings a smile. Straight face, it's all quiet here and most of us aren't concerned as surge is our curse and that won't happen this time. However, there are all these ultra-religious types coming into town for a double header (1) to protest our monument removal (2) during the annual Southern Decadence parade. You almost guess about the latter - it drives them crazier than any monument and since is always happens at the peak of hurricane season, they alway blame New Orleans decadence for hurricanes. My deepest hope is that these "seekers born exactly on the minute" get caught in some of the hurricane effects and have to ask us for help. Oh Hurricane Harvey Wallbanger could be such great fun.
||||||||| Gusts of wind blow in from outside and the thumpa-thumpa-thumpa of helicopter blades is heard as Happy Panditt's chopper lands on the lawn and Captain Equinox disembarks at 8:55 PM.
DJTweeny: lol Jamie
DJTweeny: Hi Captain
NancyKat: While religion isn't soo much "pused" or highlighted in GS, it seems it's more of a focus in BS, leading to/ along side of misogyny....
Captain Equinox: Hiya, Kiddos!
NancyKat: Jamie-lol.
DJTweeny: yeah, the statue thing is silly, and a distraction from the real issues of the day
NancyKat: Hi, Cap. EQ!
EWeston: One captain, so far...hiya
Jamie WWOZ: Eweston - I'm laughing.
NancyKat: Distraction from the REAL problems, Tweeny.
DJTweeny: yes
EWeston: Yup
||||||||| A time machine materializes at 8:58 PM and Johan Amadeus Myjetski sashays out, carrying a grape from ancient Greece.
Captain Equinox: Can't stay for long, but plan to listen to the feed for as long as I can.
DJTweeny: Hi Johan
