||||||||| Catherwood re-enters the Waiting Room and explains "This is the main discussion room which is logged each night."
||||||||| Catherwood announces, "The time is 4:33 AM - I now declare Thursday's chat log for July 29, 2010 officially open!"... and then, he retires back to the vestibule...
||||||||| ah,clem steals in around 8:16 PM, trying to avoid Catherwood because of last month's "unpleasant incident."
||||||||| New CNI streaming notice: '"a few minutes with FireSign Theatre" at about 9 eastern, back from the shadows, again'
||||||||| ah,clem runs out the back door as Mayor P'nisnose blasts through the front door holding a shotgun and shouting "Where's ah,clem?! It's 8:18 PM and my ballot boxes haven't been stuffed yet!"
||||||||| Outside, the 9:00 PM crosstown bus from Elmertown pulls away, leaving cease coughing in a cloud of diesel fumes.
||||||||| Catherwood strides in with a trumpet, plays a fanfare, and proclaims "Nine PM on Thursday, July 29, 2010 - I now declare alt.comedy.firesgn-thtre's chat officially open!"
cease: welcome back, clem
||||||||| Outside, the 9:01 PM downtown bus from Funfun Town pulls away, leaving Bambi coughing in a cloud of diesel fumes.
Bambi: Hello Dear Friend
cease: hello deer
Bambi: Catherwood please pour me a toasted almond
||||||||| Catherwood gives Bambi a toasted almond.
Bambi: thank you Catherwood
||||||||| Catherwood answers "It was a pleasure to serve you..."
Bambi: hey Cat ... how's it going?
cease: not a fan of all this heat, but compared to the rest of north america, it's not that bad
Bambi: me either ... the heat has been oppressive here
Bambi: and now comes the high humidity to accompany it
||||||||| llanwydd waltzes in at 9:04 PM carrying an obsidian door knocker.
Bambi: we had our first day in the low 80s in months two days ago and right back to 90s and high humidity
llanwydd: whaz real?
Bambi: it has cooled down a bit since the 'cold' front moved through .. no rain though
Bambi: Hey llanwydd
cease: hi llan.
cease: watched the last episode of the shultz story. were you one of the contras?
Bambi: we are in the middle of a drought on top of that
cease: we havent had rain since june. odd for here
llanwydd: yeah, I was one of the weapons smugglers and also the interpreter for mikhael gorbachev
cease: the show seemed to portray shultz as a kind of diplomatic god.
cease: i see rich little did the voice or reagan. i didnt know rich was still alive
Bambi: Happy Birthday to Phil P. :-)
cease: you must be quite a versatile actor
Bambi: yesterday if I remember correctly
cease: proctor seems to have had as many birthday wishes on facebook as the average firesign audience for one of their shows
llanwydd: you that was amusing that rich little did reagan's voice
||||||||| 9:07 PM: ah,clem jumps out of the hall closet saying "I've been listening to all of you talking about me for the past year and a half!"
Bambi: we haven't had rain for 4-5 weeks and little before that. spring was good for rain, but it's all gone and the corn is dying after being lush and beautiful a month ago
ah,clem: hi all
llanwydd: I mean, "yeah" not "you"
Bambi: hey Clem :-)
llanwydd: Hi Clem
cease: its the clem voice
llanwydd: in my part of the world, when it rains it pours
llanwydd: but only for a few minutes usually
cease: re proc roles, when i first visited him in la in 95, he had a room full of videos of all the flicks and shows he'd been in.
Bambi: lol llan
cease: imagine how many there are now, and it was hundreds 15 years ago
llanwydd: I just received an email from a Samuel Alfred who is someone I don't know. brb
cease: maybe someone who wants to hire you, llan
ah,clem: yes, i just hit a few highlights, there are very many
Bambi: amazing people ... each of the four or five crazy guys :-)
cease: true enough, bambi. that's why the combination of them is so powerful
Bambi: yep
cease: what is this, clem?
ah,clem: back from the shadows
cease: the dvd?
Bambi: beat the reaper :-)
cease: i think i have that.
ah,clem: cued up both disks, this may take a while
Bambi: at the moment (and should be coming up for everyone in a minute)
Bambi: lol Clem
llanwydd: sdfghjk
ah,clem: boy, LL, you typing has improved.
llanwydd: it's my mantra
llanwydd: you wouldn't believe how hard it is to pronounce
ah,clem: but very relaxing
Bambi: lol
ah,clem: want to buy a vowel?
llanwydd: lol
cease: must be welsh
llanwydd: est que forvulish
llanwydd: that's a non-sequitur but at least I'm making conversation
cease: better conversation than conversion
llanwydd: dideihdidhthdklbhdiapfhdihdioshdusaiohdfhudgfjfdhaisskjsdhsagrudughf
Bambi: weqwerertwertrytryuytuiuyiooil;izxczxfvdfgdsfghdfghjghkghjl
ah,clem: see, his typing is improving...
||||||||| "9:22 PM? 9:22 PM!!" says Catherwood, "Elayne should be here by now...oh, THERE you are!" as Elayne enters and sits in the comfy chair.
cease: beaver college?
cease: must be canadian.
Elayne: Evenin' all, and happy belated Proc Day!
llanwydd: Hi Elayne
cease: hi el
Bambi: hey Elayne :-)
ah,clem: hey E!
cease: i think they're all proc days on this bus
llanwydd: yes, I just heard about Proc Day
Elayne: Jimmy, you giving us the Best of Phil P tonight?
Bambi: all Firesign Days at any rate :-)
cease: the best of phil p would be hundreds of hours long
ah,clem: he's in there
Bambi: just some more equal than others ;-)
ah,clem: did mention it in my opening comments
Bambi: how are things going Elayne?
ah,clem: and happy birthday Nancy, Betty Jo, Susan, Rocky, etc....
Bambi: etc, etc. etc lol
llanwydd: everyone knew her as rocky
ah,clem: he shot herself
cease: Rocky Lee Jones?
ah,clem: Rococo
Elayne: Fine, Fran. Well, for a one-income family. :)
llanwydd: rocky ricardo
Elayne: Where is this from, Jimmy?
ah,clem: back from the shadows
Elayne: No, Dex isn't coming, but he said he'd be making all your restaurant reservations.
Elayne: Oops, Sorry, that was supposed to be me to Cat.
ah,clem: we don't mind
Bambi: glad things are going well Elayne :-)
cease: i seem to be in 2 places at once
Elayne: Well, give or take a biopsy...
ah,clem: biopsy?
cease: as long as the biopsy is negative
Elayne: The less said about which, the better. But I've decided to get it. Three doctors pressuring me. I think they're in cahoots. Or NY.
ah,clem: likely both
ah,clem: hope it turns out to be nothing
Elayne: Me too!
Elayne: Every time I jump through medical hoops it either turns out to be nothing or remains a mystery. Either way, I'm going through the medical establishment for everything lately and NOTHING IS WRONG WITH ME.
Elayne: I asked you not to get me started. :)
Bambi: good luck with that Elayne ... scary stuff
cease: i've had 2 positive biopsys but both cancers turned out to be minor
cease: nothing is a good thing
Bambi: LOL Elayne
Elayne: That's what I'm hoping for. Shows up in x-rays but not in ultrasounds? Can't be a big deal.
ah,clem: yes
llanwydd: I know how it is. no diagnosis after the first tests or x-rays and then they want you to have it done again
Bambi: well that is great news ... nothing being wrong with you :-)
Elayne: Be right back, just want to check on the baseball game.
Bambi: want to ensure you get it by lots of x-rays or what?!
Bambi: doctors....
llanwydd: well, I hate to think they just want me to come back and see them again, but...
llanwydd: I've either got arthritis or two broken fingers and they can't tell that anything is wrong
ah,clem: better than if they never want to see you again, that might not turn out so well
llanwydd: meanwhile I've got a pain in my neck and back for the past 6 days
cease: i hope you live long enough to be in my play in sept, llan
llanwydd: that I can count on, cat
llanwydd: que est ce que donde esta wiederholen sie?
llanwydd: pe em deus fe na taba
Elayne: Back - no home run for A-Rod tonight, looks like.
ah,clem: spreak engrish troops
cease: 599 isn't enough for him?
llanwydd: ya sebya nekorosha chuvstvuya
Elayne: Cat, he doesn't seem to have a problem going so long between # 599 and 600. It's everyone else who seems to have the problem.
Elayne: I hope it lasts a few more games, as long as the team's winning it's putting asses in seats with fans who are anticipating seeing history.
ah,clem: so true
ah,clem: suspense
||||||||| Outside, the 9:45 PM crosstown bus from Washington pulls away, leaving Bunnyboy coughing in a cloud of diesel fumes.
Bunnyboy: yowdy
cease: hi bun
llanwydd: Hi Bunnyboy
Elayne: Hey BBoy!
ah,clem: hey Bun
Bunnyboy: Just had to burst in with the exciting news: I solved the Liverface Mystery!
cease: you mean the origin of that piece?
ah,clem: and put it on the grocery wall?
Bunnyboy: Liverface popped up randomly on a 3000+ song shuffle, on my iPhone, the other day.
llanwydd: hangin on hooks from the grocery wall
Bunnyboy: It's on one of the BOX OF DANGER pieces.
Bunnyboy: It's a bumper in "The Case of the Missing General".
cease: and its origin is?
Bunnyboy: From 1982, during the beginning of the "Thriumverate" years.
||||||||| Outside, the 9:48 PM uptown bus from Billville pulls away, leaving Merlyn coughing in a cloud of diesel fumes.
Merlyn: hey, we need people on tuesdays
Bunnyboy: Hi, Merlyn! Liverface solved!
cease: 82 would be post ossman
Bunnyboy: That's right.
cease: you mean that's the origin of the piece?
Bunnyboy: It's after the Act 1 section, and a brief reprise of Ma Rainey's Whole Mole Cookies.
Bunnyboy: Whole, rather than Wholesome, here.
Bunnyboy: Yup. PB is Liverface, PA and PP are dog and cat owners/
cease: i keep forgetting the tuesday event, merl. 4:00 i'm usually involved in other things
Bunnyboy: It streams, it do.
Bunnyboy: I found myself giggling a DO's "hot dog for breakfast" line, in the Yosemite piece.
Bambi: hey Merl, Bunny
Merlyn: yeah, but nothing beats talking about it in real time. Maybe clem can replay the WMFU shows? I won't tell
Bunnyboy: Believe it or not, I just started listening to the Hour Hour stuff, today. I've only heard fragments before.
cease: radio jive has started playing the whole series again from last sunday
Bunnyboy: I'm living in 4 time periods these days: 1953, 1963, 1970 and 2010.
cease: earl said he was going to play dear friends, but didnt get around to digitalizing them yet
cease: very firesonian of you, bun
Bunnyboy: Durn iBooks app means I have issues (oh, BOY, do I have issues) of MAD, THE AVENGERS, NATIONAL LAMPOON in my pocket...
llanwydd: believe it or not I've never heard an hour hour
Bunnyboy: Plus Hour Hour, which pairs with the NatLamp stuff.
Bunnyboy: llan: Join the club! I just started a full ep today.
ah,clem: we have played much of hour hour here at times
cease: go to www.radiojive.com on sunday evenings from 6:00 pacific time and you can hear them all, llan
llanwydd: thanks, cat. I'll try but I don't know
Bunnyboy: I gotta go feed wife and guest. Byeya!
cease: by bun. thanks for solving the mystery
llanwydd: hard to listen to most internet radio with my system
ah,clem: Bye Bun
Bunnyboy: (sings)...and I hang 'em on the grocery wall! Ah-ha-ha-haaaaaa!
llanwydd: Nite BB
Merlyn: nite bb
||||||||| Around 9:57 PM, Bunnyboy walks off into the sunset...
Elayne: I think I"m headed out as well. I gave blood today while at the hospital for my cardio appointment (neither of which has anythnig to do with the biopsies), and I'm plumb tired out.
llanwydd: he could have asked catherwood to feed his wife and guest
||||||||| Catherwood hands his wife and guest.
Elayne: Bye alL!
||||||||| Catherwood says "10:00 PM, time for SOMEONE to leave!", grabs Elayne by the collar and gives 'em the old bum's rush out the door
ah,clem: rest well E!
||||||||| Catherwood enters the room, strikes a gong, and bellows "THE TIME IN NEW YORK IS 10 O'CLOCK", then silently exits.
llanwydd: of course he silently exits
cease: by el
llanwydd: bye el
Merlyn: bye E
llanwydd: lol
llanwydd: so, you suppose stones and bubba and princ will show up?
cease: maybe yes, maybe no, llan
cease: chat is increasingly sparsely populated. cuz it's summer?
Merlyn: because we're dooomed. DOOOOOOOOOOMED!
ah,clem: must be my lame show....
cease: unlikely, clem
ah,clem: and all the folks swimming in the ocean, camping in the mountains, and exploring in nice weather...
ah,clem ;)
Bambi: well sounds like Clem's been at it again ... Gypsy Doctor
llanwydd: I went swimming this evening
llanwydd: in lake george. my favorite lake in the world
Bambi: you remember the past? yes. you remember the future? yes. forget it! lol
llanwydd: wouldn't miss chat for it though
ah,clem: must be nice. I took a shower...
Bambi: abridged version of course
llanwydd: lol
Bambi -)
Bambi: oops
Bambi :-)
Bambi keeps forgetting about the double colon when I do that
cease: you can forget your colon, but your colon can't forget you
Bambi: that may be true ... I can't decide
Bambi: ah, fresh garden tomatoes ... yummy
cease: my tomatoes arent ready yet
cease: fresh tomatoes are a real treat
ah,clem: yes, they are good, esp vine ripened
llanwydd: my tomatoes won't do well this year
llanwydd: I haven't had much time to water them
Bambi: thanks Clem!! :-)
cease: did clem water llan's tomatoes?
Bambi: lol
Bambi: yeah, they need water
Bambi: and lots of it along with lots of sun
cease: ah, show is ending
cease: thanks again, clem
Bambi: summer is great since there are lots of fresh veggies at good prices .... miss that in the winter
cease: indeed, bambi
cease: too bad it comes with all this heat
Bambi: yes, but it doesn't have to be THIS hot to make good tomatoes lol
Bambi: toad away ... have a great week folks ... back to the shadows again...
cease: my tomatoes are calling me for water. see you here next week
Bambi: take care and grid bless ... until we meet again
||||||||| cease departs at 10:47 PM, singing "Toad away, toad away; toad away, toad away! Where do you go when you're toad away?"
||||||||| Bambi rushes off, saying "10:48 PM? Mark Time is almost on! Where's a radio?"
||||||||| 10:48 PM -- ah,clem left for parts unknown.   (Entry from Nick Danger's "Idiots I Have Been Paid To Follow").
||||||||| Merlyn rushes out the back door as Mayor P'nisnose blasts through the front door holding a shotgun and shouting "Where's Merlyn?! It's 10:48 PM and my ballot boxes haven't been stuffed yet!"
||||||||| It's 10:50 PM, and that means it's time to play BEAT THE REAPER! And here's how our contestants did:
||||||||| llanwydd - dead from the fiddlers
||||||||| Better luck next time! And now, back to our chatroom, which is already in progress...
||||||||| Catherwood stumbles in at 3:46 AM, dragging DuxAndGeese by the hair and asks "Can anyone vouch for this idiot?"
DuxAndGeese:

Well, that’s fuel under the reactor now, Mr. Time!

Prince Arcturus has us by the thrusters!

With you as bait,
half the Federation Navy’s gonna some blastin’ in,
and the Prince’ll have ‘em trapped
like Mars flies in a Klein Bottle!

DuxAndGeese:

Ah! That’s where you’re wrong, Bob!

You see,
the Lunar Council knows we’ve been captured.

It’s up to those Navy boys now to confuse Arcturus
and his Moth Men
into letting us
get control
of the Communication Reactor!

DuxAndGeese:

Well, scramble my feedback!

But what about Doc?

Dr. Technical is on his own, Bob!

Right in the middle of the biggest battlefield
this old Universe has ever seen!

Oh, golly gamma rays!

I wish I could scan him on my Video, Mr. Time!

He must be mighty hot around the collar . . .

DuxAndGeese: PS: Phil's site is back up, again, after a few days missing
||||||||| At 3:48 AM, the lights go out! Rocky Rococo's voice pierces the inky darkness: "I've got you now, DuxAndGeese!" Shattering glass is heard, and then the lights come back on...
||||||||| Catherwood enters, and announces to all and sundry "It's 4:32 AM, time to change the log file and clean out unused rooms; please exit the chat room for a minute or two. Thank you for your patience."
