LeftRev.Tweenstormer: Yeah, Krassner says he borrowed some of his concepts from them. Yikes....
Principalpoop: put a book down your pants quick mudhead, don't ask questions, just do it

llanwydd: don't think I've watched a berkley film but if you've seen Broadway Melody and The Great Ziegfeld, you know the idea
LeftRev.Tweenstormer: Yeah, I saw it there also. One of the progressive rags had the link.
Principalpoop: did that have 55 chevy in it?
Dexter Fong: Bambi: Don't think so..that was a parody of Star Wars
cease: i'm amazed that the powers that run the us allow southpark on at all
Bunnyboy: Have you ever seen a movie where you can't imagine any other actor playing the leading role? Well, that's never been the case with Cruise, to my mind.
Principalpoop: super movie, but I don't remember a chevy
LeftRev.Tweenstormer: Spaceballs was a parody of Star Wars. John Candy.

Bambi: not really Tweeny ... I just know where to look it up :-) But handicapped while streaming ... can't look things up
Dexter Fong: LLan: South Park is for sure, really pushing it..but it *is* funny...often offensively so...but what the hell, funny *is* offensive...if you're doing right, that is

Principalpoop: blues guitar and a little girls voice, cool
llanwydd: Sid Caesar is a genius
LeftRev.Tweenstormer: Why's everybody always pickin' on me ;(
Bunnyboy: A BOY NAMED CHARLIE BROWN and SNOOPY COME HOME, back on video next week.

Dexter Fong: Hobbes

Principalpoop: I knew Norman Normal, you are no Norman Normal
Bunnyboy: Tween: WHO ARE YOU done me in.
llanwydd: still getting used to this damn msntv2. I doesn't chat like webtv
LeftRev.Tweenstormer: Can you excorcise a warnicke?
Bambi: definition of normal: conforming with or constituting a norm or standard or level or type or social norm; not abnormal; "serve wine at normal room temperature"; "normal diplomatic relations"; "normal working hours"; "normal word order"; "normal curiosity"; "the normal course of events" ... how enlightening NOT.
Principalpoop: steady bunny, and stop watch psycho so often maybe
Bunnyboy: CSN, Pink Floyd and Traffic were other early ear ticklers.
LeftRev.Tweenstormer: Don't know, Bun... Who's Next?
Hemlock Stones: seems i dont qualify for Normal then Bambi
Bunnyboy: Yes, Who's Next, you bet.
cease: yes that would have been the era of the firesign's first shining
Principalpoop: that is normal bambi
ah,clem: abynormal
Bunnyboy: I was a huge Who freak. Still am, to some extent.
Principalpoop: who?
Bunnyboy: Didja know they're going back on tour? Again?

Bunnyboy: Credibilty Gap riff, there.
llanwydd: I don't know what the hell happened
Dexter Fong: I just got refused..reloaded without problem
cease: by the lifght of the silvery beatles

LeftRev.Tweenstormer: Wow, Bun. He's amazing. Toltec is beautiful work. Love the production.
Principalpoop: super cool bunny

LeftRev.Tweenstormer: I got off at Centerville, and Rod was waiting ;)
Principalpoop: a miss is as good as a mile to a camel
Hemlock Stones: its as good as a mile Clem
Hemlock Stones: lol
Dexter Fong: I got off on Vergennes
Principalpoop: great minds think alike
Bunnyboy: Sometime in the next month or two, the 1984 Yes tour will be back on video.
Dexter Fong: still do
Bunnyboy: I saw that tour.

LeftRev.Tweenstormer: Blair went to Washington in 1984
llanwydd: so now the topic is Yes? That's something I know
Dexter Fong: Yes?
Dexter Fong: I mean Yes!!

Bunnyboy: I saw Robert Crumb, in a rare lecture, round about 1984. He autographed my Fritz the Cat trade paperback.
Honey Sanchez: wow
Principalpoop: wakeman is god
LeftRev.Tweenstormer: Have only seen Yes live with Moraz. 3x on the Relayer tour.
llanwydd: saw wakeman twice. never saw moraz
Bunnyboy: There's a special edition of CRUMB coming out on DVD shortly. Commentary by Roger Ebert and Terry Zwigoff.
Bambi: thankfully we weren't anywhere near Winston in 1984
Principalpoop: the other times I saw them I was, well, heavily drugged
LeftRev.Tweenstormer: Wakeman is astounding.
Principalpoop: I think they were with Jeff Beck, moraz had a sore toe
cease: i liked his comics alot more than the flick
LeftRev.Tweenstormer: Listent to Merlyn the Magician in quadrophonic.
ah,clem: wakeman did a great rendition of "journey to the center of the earth" love that record
Bunnyboy: Fox is releasing VALLEY OF THE DOLLS and (*drum roll*) BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS in June.

Principalpoop: mcdonals is a cult, I knew it!
Principalpoop: mcdonalds even
Hemlock Stones: McVicar, is that another burger joint ?
llanwydd: McVicar sounds like a drive-through rectory or something
LeftRev.Tweenstormer: TX bumper sticker: God Bless John Wayne
Bunnyboy: From what I understand, the real McVicar was British Public Enemy Number One, at one time.
Bunnyboy: Erhm...he got better!
Principalpoop: god knows his real name is marion
LeftRev.Tweenstormer: Another TX bumper sticker: Practice Compassionate Impeachment

Honey Sanchez: didnt russ meyer do the stewardesses?

Bunnyboy: BEYOND was co-written by Roger Ebert, and is quite the trip.
Dexter Fong: Pp; Pull it up outta the bubblewrap before it gets sent UPS

LeftRev.Tweenstormer: Be well, Klok...
Bunnyboy: Watching the German archival restoration of METROPOLIS from a few years ago is a religious experience. There are sequences in that that are so beautiful, they look like they were filmed yesteday, instead of 80 years ago.
Dexter Fong: Get better Klok
Hemlock Stones: -and soon Klok

Dexter Fong: Pp: Didn't know you spike Latin
Dexter Fong: spoke
Principalpoop: it is not true honey, don't believe him
Bunnyboy: llan: It's the closest thing to a full restoration. As with many films (including some that are not nearly so old), there are elements that no longer exist.
llanwydd: tweens comment about Anderson reminded me of "The Phantom of the Opera" with a background score by Rick Wakeman. Anybody have that one?
Principalpoop: oops spoke, free wheeling with words there fong
Bunnyboy: GREED pops to mind.
Dexter Fong: No spica da spoke
