||||||||| Catherwood enters the room, strikes a gong, and bellows "THE TIME IN NEW YORK IS 3 O'CLOCK", then silently exits.
||||||||| It's 3:30 PM, and that means it's time to play BEAT THE REAPER! And here's how our contestants did:
||||||||| Tweeny - dead from jaundice
||||||||| Better luck next time! And now, back to our chatroom, which is already in progress...
||||||||| Catherwood strides in with a trumpet, plays a fanfare, and proclaims "Nine PM on Thursday, November 21, 2024 - I now declare alt.comedy.firesgn-thtre's chat officially open!" -- then he looks around at the empty room, looks at his watch, and mumbles "...am I early?"
||||||||| With a theatrical clearing of his throat, Catherwood snorts derisively: "8:00 PM and late as usual, it's Tweeny, just back from Funfun Town."
||||||||| Catherwood enters the room, strikes a gong, and bellows "THE TIME IN NEW YORK IS 11 O'CLOCK", then silently exits.
||||||||| Catherwood strides up and snorts derisively "Presenting 'JZip', just granted probation at 8:00 PM", then leaves hurriedly.
||||||||| Catherwood tiptoes into the room, and intones "Announcing 'Cease', also known as 'Nancy' -- the time is 8:00 PM" -- then he slowly retires back into the sitting room...
||||||||| At 8:00 PM, Cease vanishes mysteriously -- just as Nino the Mind Boggler predicted!
||||||||| Catherwood stumbles in and announces "Presenting 'Cease', just granted probation at 8:00 PM", then leaves hurriedly.
Cease: predictomania
JZip: It's easier to predict when you've got a lock on the brainwaves.
||||||||| Catherwood walks in wearing his pyjamas, yawns, and mumbles "It's midnight here in New York city"...then he falls over and starts snoring loudly..
||||||||| Catherwood trudges in at 8:00 PM, dragging Beet by the hair and asks "Can anyone vouch for this Yahoo ™?"
Beet: Hey, Guys!
||||||||| Catherwood leads Deputy Dang into the room, accepts a wooden nickel as a gratuity, mumbles something about 8:00 PM, then departs.
Cease: HI Beet
Cease: Dang
Deputy Dang: Howdy Pardners!
Beet: Hi, Cease, JZip, Deputy.
JZip waves back at everyone
||||||||| Catherwood stumbles in at 8:00 PM, dragging ''Bob'' by one leg and asks "Can anyone vouch for this bozo?"
Cease: Bob
Beet: Returning your wave.
JZip: I'll get you the receipt.
''Bob'': Just in time for some technical stimulation.
Cease: That's what You need
Cease: April 24th? Tween is in his time machine again
||||||||| Catherwood interjects: "This is W.A.L.T.E.R ... this is W.A.L.T.E.R. ..."
Beet: Speaking of technical, I rode in a Tesla for the fist time today. Nice.
''Bob'': You know, even though I bought it when it came out, I don't think I've had the time to listen to this album yet. Way behind on assimilating all the great music and comedy that's come out recently.
||||||||| Catherwood interjects: "Everyone knew her as Nancy."
''Bob'': And the new Bonzo Dog Band box set is coming soon, too. I need a vacation to catch up!
Cease: Yeah there's a lot to catch up on. Mustard too!
Beet: Hi, "Bob".
''Bob'': /me waves
||||||||| Catherwood ushers llanwydd into the room, accepts a jar of pennies as a gratuity, mutters something about 8:00 PM, then departs.
llanwydd: good evening
Cease: LLan
Tweeny: Evenin' bozos
Beet: Hey, Tweeny.
Beet: Hey, llan.
Cease: A lot of this stuff is only available on this "album" so it's worth many re-listenings
Cease: this is like the Jack Benny show
Cease: This is remarkable fresh
''Bob'': IN AMERICA WITH ARMEEEEENIANS!
Deputy Dang: It's interesting how it kind of stands alone without Ralph Spoilsport.
''Bob'': Damn, that's some fine singing, actually.
Cease: was this from before 2 places came out?
''Bob'': Hey, Tweeny. Did you get to see Blazing Saddles when it was back in theaters recently? It was so good on the big screen!
Deputy Dang: I doubt it. 2 places was 1969, according to Wikipedia.
Cease: this is from June, 69, About the same time
JZip: "Pick your bale of dacron"? I'd never heard that before.
Cease: On the album, it's "I'se white"
Tweeny: Evenin' bozos
Tweeny: ''Bob'': Hey, Tweeny. Did you get to see Blazing Saddles when it was back in theaters recently? It was so good on the big screen! << Absolutely! Saw it in the theatre first run :)
Tweeny: (have only watched it at home recently)
Tweeny: It was a wonderful Mel Brooks 'epic'
Tweeny: a great parody of the old westerns in so many ways
Cease: This must be from their Yale stop on thier east coast tour, 1970
''Bob'': The audience was small, but there was some singing along with the theme song. :)
Tweeny: cool :)
Cease: They were great live in their earliest days until their final shows
''Bob'': Heh. The Merritt Parkway. A little reference from his Yale days, I guess.
Beet: It's so great to be able to hear these early recordings.
Cease: Tis
Tweeny: Beet: It's so great to be able to hear these early recordings. << Click the link at the top of the page and you can buy them at Bandcamp :)

||||||||| Catherwood interjects: "Decode your answer now."
Beet: Not yet.
Cease: Not sure of time or station
||||||||| Catherwood enters the room, strikes a gong, and bellows "THE TIME IN NEW YORK IS 1 O'CLOCK", then silently exits.
||||||||| It's 1:00 AM, and that means it's time to play BEAT THE REAPER! And here's how our contestants did:
||||||||| JZip - dead from the yaws
||||||||| Better luck next time! And now, back to our chatroom, which is already in progress...
''Bob'': Nothing happens until someone sells something!
Cease: By Zip
Beet: Sound cutting in and out.
Cease: was this on the original, tween?
Deputy Dang: It sounds like that blanking it was doing a few months ago.
Cease: this is annoying.
Cease: i should have previewed it.
''Bob'': Am I having a bad trip?
Cease: can anything be done, here, tween?
Beet: It's that time again. Must go. Enjoyed the offerings. See everyone next week. G'Nite.
Deputy Dang: I just bought the album in digital at the link shown above.
||||||||| Catherwood interjects: "May I see your passport, please?"
Deputy Dang: G'nite Beet!
Cease: By Beet
Cease: Is Tween gone?
||||||||| Catherwood interjects: "I think we're all Bozos on this bus."
Cease: This is hard to listen to.
||||||||| Catherwood interjects: "Wake up - and consider your only logical choice."
Deputy Dang: When it started skipping again, I got the album to listen to later. :-/
Cease: me too
Deputy Dang: I'm going to log off. I didn't sleep much last night so an early bedtime won't be the worst thing for me. I'll be back next week.
Cease: sleep well, dang
''Bob'': Nite!
Deputy Dang: Yeah, this is unlistenable, or rather unhearable.
||||||||| Around 8:00 PM, Deputy Dang walks off into the sunset...
Cease: is it back to normal now?
Tweeny: Sounds fine here now
Tweeny: The skipping would be the RFD server in California
||||||||| Catherwood interjects: "The future ain't here yet, man!"
''Bob'': Yep, just cleared up
Tweeny: "Sorry about that, chief..."
Cease: oh
||||||||| Catherwood interjects: "Decode your answer now."
''Bob'': Good thing we all already knew the lines by heart
Cease: right, bob
''Bob'': Heh. Now the skipping is in the original. ;)
Cease: you think,bob?
Cease: oh yeah That's interntional. there was a bit of skippage not long ago
''Bob'': Hard to get a quality signal from the moon.
Cease: or a quantity
Cease: only half a signal
Cease: what is happening tonight, tween? has it happened before?
''Bob'': I had to split it with the sound man
Cease: thanks, bobby

Cease: this is hilarious!
''Bob'': Love it!
Cease: Ossman was Really into the Rennaissance Fair
''Bob'': Not my favorite album, but I guess it's grown on me a bit over the years.

Tweeny: I didn't know that Anythynge was from so early in their shows
Cease: originaly it was called the count of monte cristo. from their earliest days

||||||||| Cease scurries out the back door as Mayor P'nisnose blasts through the front door holding a shotgun and shouting "Where's Cease?! It's 8:00 PM and my ballot boxes haven't been stuffed yet!"
Tweeny: Until last time, again...
